1. What is Islam?
Is a universal religion that teaches that there is only one God, which is merciful and
compassionate. It is one of the three Abrahamic faiths along Judaism and
Christianity, their believers are called Muslims, and they believe that Muhammad is
a Messenger of God. They have a sacred book which is the Quran, in where there
are the recitations received by Mohammad from God.
2. When, where and how did Islam start?
Historians often date the creation of Islam to the 7th century, it started in Mecca,
nowadays Saudi Arabia. The prophet Muhammad introduced Islam In 610 A.D
because he claimed to be an angelic visitation, he then proceed to dictate the
Quran.
3. How do you see Islam as a religion? (personal reflection)
I see Islam as a religion with much similarities as Christianity, it is the second
largest religion over the world. They practice their religion as very devoted people,
and they work hard to defend their faith. I think is another common religion as the
many they are in the world.
