He was born in the Robledo neighborhood of
Medellin and as a child he liked business and
sales. Although he always wanted to be
independent, his working life began in his
native Medellin, in the area of industrial
mechanics of Pepalfa, where for two and a
half years he saved everything he earned.
Traveled to Bogota to find a horizon of his
own. He began by managing a warehouse of
the several that Mr. Correa had, who after a
while decided to sell them and Calle bought
him one of confections
From the warehouse of San Victorino was
passed to a larger one, on Avenida Jiménez,
with Caracas, then rode two more, with a
name that he qualifies as horrible: Danté.
The fourth already had the name Arturo Calle
and with it saw the need to start producing,
instead of buying from third parties, to ensure
the concept of quality at low prices, which
distinguished it from the beginning.
