"IIST is a small institution. It is the Asia's first space university. The professors are quite good(with some exceptions). The labs and the infrastructure are impeccable. It is quite a good college if you want to go further into research. ISRO comes to recruit students from here; they recruit depending on student's CGPA and the available vacancies."
