Tracking Insurance Registered Mail Return Receipt Signature Confirmation Return Receipt for Merchandise Special Handling Certificate of Mailing This Extra Service provides proof of the date that mail was presented to the Postal Service for mailing. Does not provide tracking or proof of delivery. Restricted Delivery This Extra Service ensures that mail is delivered only to a specific addressee or the addressee's authorized agent. Tracking This service provides customers with updates on the status of their shipment as it travels to its destination. Shows date, zip code, and time the article was delivered. Automatically included with many shipping services. Insured Mail This Extra Service provides indemnity coverage for merchandise if the item is damaged or lost while in possession of the Postal Service. Maximum indemnity amount is $5,000 (exceptions).
Stamps that are non-denominational and are generally used for First Class Mail. They are always equal in value to the current one-ounce price. Semi-Postal Stamps These stamps are used as fundraisers for things like breast cancer research, Save Vanishing Species, Alzheimer's, and PTSD. PO Box Service This service is provided as a convenience for customers who wish to pick up their mail at the post office from secure, locked boxes requiring a key or combination. The number of different PO Box sizes There are five different options; although not all are available at each Post Office. PO Box Process: 1st Day of the Month On this day of the month, we give PO Box customers a Notice 32 to let them know their PO Box rent is due at the end of the month.
PO Box Process: 20th Day of the Month On this day of the month, we give PO Box customers a reminder letter/2nd Notice to let them know their PO Box rent is due at the end of the month. PO Box Process: Last Day of the Month This is the day of the month that a PO Box customer's rent is due. PO Box Process: 1st Day of the Month (after PO Box rental payment due date) On this day, if a PO Box customer has not yet paid their PO Box fees, their box is plugged, and we hold their mail "hostage" until they renew, close their box, or 10 days have passed. PO Box Process: Grace Period (after PO Box rental payment due date) The length of this is 10 days after a customer's PO Box rent was due, and they have not yet paid. PO Box Process: 11th Day of the Month (after PO Box rental payment due date) On this day, if a customer has not paid for their PO Box, their box is closed, and their mail is returned to sender. PS Form 1093 Application for Post Office Box Service. This form is used when a customer wants to apply for PO Box service.

Extra training required. Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamps These are required by Federal Law to hunt migratory birds such as ducks and geese. USPS sells these as an Additional Service to our customers. Selective Service Forms This is a form used during the process in which the US Government collects the names and addresses of young men aged 18-25 to use in case a military draft is necessary. Burial Flags The US Postal Service disperses these on behalf of the Veteran's Administration (VA) to funeral directors or family members of deceased veterans. There is no time limit to request one, and only one is issued per deceased veteran.

Caller Service This paid service allows individuals and businesses who need more pickup times per day and/or have more mail each day than the largest PO box in your office will hold. General Delivery This free service is available at designated post offices for transients and individuals waiting to get a PO box. Customers may receive mail using a simplified address and will pick up all of their mail at the post office. Informed Delivery This is a free and optional notification service that allows users to digitally preview their mail.
Package Intercept Service This Additional Service allows customers to request to have an item they have sent through the Postal Service intercepted and returned prior to delivery, for a fee.
