I have already been working for about four years as an ESL teacher at the ISFODOSU, an
institution focused on the preparation of future educators in the Dominican Republic.
During my practice, I have helped prepared, in different levels of the English language,
over one hundred teachers. Educators, who are now working in private and public schools
in the DR, being able to address their area of expertise, and navigate a globalized teaching
world with their English language skills.
Dictated several English courses from basic to advanced English.
Dictated two special courses on test preparation for ELASH exam.
I have worked on the creation of new specific materials aiming test preparation for the
English Language Assessment System for Hispanics (ELASH) a standardized assessment
exam for finishing the English program.
Developed virtual innovative environments for teaching virtual and hybrid courses of
ESL.
I've been working as an Elementary school teacher for children from the ages of 9 to 12 at
Escuela Inicial y Básica Urania Montás Anexa. I have been teaching Spanish (literature and
basic linguistics) and Social Studies. Furthermore, I have collaborated with the
development of technological and reading projects for the Second Cycle of Elementary.
I'm an active member of the tech school club, in charge of leading students to develop their
tech competences.
I am an ESL, linguistics and literature teacher with almost five years of experience in the field. I've been working with
adult learners of English in a pedagogical institute of higher education in the Dominican Republic, and have a teaching
background, as an educator in the public school system. Higher and elementary education are not my first job
experiences, as I have taught specialized English and literature courses at a private High school. I am passionate about
implementing innovative classroom management and gamification strategies to help my students achieve their
learning goals.
