Two Homework Projects are assigned this semester. These are long, comprehensive problems which
are meant to reinforce and solidify your grasp of certain types of accounting procedures and concepts.
The Homework Projects are to be completed by hand using hard copy working papers. The
purpose of this requirement is that students generally have a greater comprehension of the complete
accounting cycle by processing the steps by hand.
Project 2:
Project 2 is based on Problem 7-5A. The instructions for this problem are found on pages 300-301 of
the Fundamental Accounting Principles textbook. Follow the problem instructions to complete this
project

Working Papers:
Print the working papers for this project by clicking the Project 2 Working Papers link under the Projects
heading in your course D2L Content.
Preparation:
Using the hard copy working papers, prepare your problems in pencil. Your work should be neat and
legible.
Submitting Your Project:
This project will be submitted in hard copy at the beginning of class on the due date.
Due Date:
November 3, 2008
Grading:
This project will be graded on a 100 point scale based on completeness, accuracy, and neatness.
Grade Impact:
This is the first of two homework projects that together comprise 5% of your overall course grade. No
project grades will be dropped--a failure to submit a homework project will result in a grade of -0-.
