The Prodigal Son in 13 Going On to 30 In this movie, young Jenna reads magazines about how glamorous it is to be 30. When she is rejected by a group of popular kids, she wishes that she is 30 and the wish comes true because of magic dust that was descended on her. Jenna is transported to a whole new whole as her adult self but with a 13 year old’s logic. She is the CEO of a popular magazine, Poise, and makes new alliances and burn bridges with assumed friends. As a result, she makes mistakes and catches a train to go to her parents house and returns to get some advice from her parents on how to fix her mistakes. Likewise this can be compared to The Prodigal Son when he returned home to his father and brother after regretting his mistakes.
