Faith, Salvation, and Conquest: Luther's Reformation & Columbus's Discoveries - Prof. Jeff, Study notes of World History

Two significant historical figures: martin luther and christopher columbus. Luther, a german theologian, challenged the catholic church's sale of indulgences and advocated for salvation through faith alone. His influential pamphlets led to religious reforms. Columbus, an explorer from spain, initially sought new lands but later turned his expeditions into conquests. His discovery of the new world brought wealth, religious influence, and social structure to spain and its colonies.

In 1520, Luther signed his new direction with 3 famous pamphlets
