The given bar graph illustrates the proportion of Internet users who were over 16 over
the period of 4 years starting from 2003.
Overall, it is obvious that all age groups witnessed an upward trend from 2003 to 2006.In
addition,while the percentage of adults aged 16 to 24 using the internet, was highest, the
opposite was true for those aged 65+.
It We can be seen from the chart that the 16-24 years old participants were the most
active Internet users with the general percentage of over 80% in all 4 years, and the figure
peaked neaking at 100% in 2005.At the same time, the proportion of daily internet users
in 25-44 group had witnessed a steady increase from approximately 50% to 80% by the
end of 2006. Furthermore, similar pattern was seen in that of the 45-54 group.
The statistics of for the 2 remaing groups were considerably lower les than 3 young
counterparts. (According to the graph, the figure for this age group was lower in the
previous . in the 65+ , age group , data appeared in 2004 ,the figure remained theo lowest)
There was a fluctuation in the percentage of internet users aged 55 to 64 from… to….
The figure for 65+ group remained, lowest, at below 20%.
