Brittany Johnson “My Five Senses” Web-Quest
CSCI 1200 Sight
1.) Which part of the body do you need to use that sense?
- eyeballs
2.) How does that sense help you learn?
- It helps you to see the world around you and discover new and exciting objects. It
also helps you to read books, watch educational videos, and see to write down
information.
3.) How does that sense help you have fun?
- Sight helps you to have lots of fun. That is because using sight you can watch tv
and movies, play games, play with friends, drive a car, and read a book.
4.) How would your life be different if you could not use that sense?
- You would not be able to do a lot of the fun things that you otherwise could when
using sight. Also, you would not be able to see where you are going when
walking. You might not be able to tell if you are in eminent danger and might be
more likely to become injured.
5.) Why is that sense important?
- Sight is important because without it, it is hard to perform daily tasks such as
writing, reading, getting ready, and driving to school. It is also hard to tell when
you are in danger because most people depend on sight for that.
Sight Speech:
Sight is the most important of all of the five senses. One reason is because without
sight, something or someone might be approaching you and you might not know it.
Sight is also what helps us to perform the day-to-day tasks that we often take for
granted such as driving, getting ready, reading, writing, and playing games. Without
sight, you would be missing out on all of those activities and the ones that you could
do would require someone to be watching you at all times to be sure you were not in
danger. Life would be lonely because you would be missing out on all of the colors,
sights, and wonders of the world around you.
