Summer Physical Marketing

STEP 1: Before starting...DO THIS.

STEP 2: Class Talks

STEP 3: University Associations

STEP 4: Community Boothing

Where are we?

BUT GILL: If this is based off 1

university, then it probably won’t

apply to my unique and difficult

REALITY.

That’s okay. This guide is supposed to be as

directive as possible. But if you can’t fully use this

example, then

Use the steps and the logic

encouraged in the guide to

form strategies for your

LC!

ʛ

Step 1: Recap The Project You are Selling & Who You are Trying to Reach

REMEMBER THIS?

Based on EB Planning and our

target realization date...

We found a project to sell! We’ve defined a couple target personas and their

interests & needs...

and we know where to find these personas.

ʺ

WAIT. WHEN THE FUCK

DID THIS ALL HAPPEN?

See sections 1 and 2!

Search: which associations on campus

have these personas and are active in the

summer?

But wait. How do we know if they are active over the summer?

OPTION A: Attend the

next clubs council

meeting. Everyone in

attendance is likely

present on campus.

OPTION B: Contact the

Student Union to see

which clubs are active.

Or which clubs were in

attendance for thee

meeting you missed.

OPTION C: Email the

club directly and ask to

be referred to their

students and/or attend

one of their meetings if

they are still active on

campus.

Now that I have found them, what

is my ‘ask’? How do I execute it?

Ask 2: Presentation to a Specific

Club/Organization

PROs More direct marketing to a specific group.

CONs

May take several tries to find a club that is

available/present.

YOU ASK...

A. For a mailing list to pass on details

regarding a consultation for the project

in Poland

B. For a chance to speak to the club in one

of their upcoming meetings

YOU GIVE...

Accessibility to an interesting internship

abroad. Support with logistics and finding

information about this opportunity.

a

Captivating email to a group of club members:

Hello Students for Literacy group!

My name is Gillian, and I work for an organization called AIESEC Victoria. We are an organization that facilitates internships so that students like us can gain personal and professional development. As well, our internships are designed to target different SDGs so that AIESEC can contribute to the completion of the 2030 agenda.

Why am I reaching out to Students for Literacy? Because AIESEC Victoria is currently looking for UVic students to participate in an internship in [CITY], Poland called “Speak Up” that is aimed to target SDG #4 (Quality Education). We are looking for students that regularly enjoy facilitation, training, and supporting others in a learning environment.

Interns in this project will be working with young kids in a classroom to facilitate cultural exchange and language transfer activities. The internship is 6 weeks long and provides accommodation to interns. It starts July 13th, so we’re looking for students to get on-board ASAP!

Curious?

a. Follow @aiesecincanada on Instagram to learn about the experiences of our other volunteer exchange participants across the world! b. Read the attached job description of this project.

Interested?

a. Sign up at aiesec.ca so we can email you more information. b. We’re holding drop-in consultations to help you apply for the project from June 10th-12th 5:30-6:30 pm at Clearihue D112. Come and learn more about the project - we’re here to answer any questions you have.

The local branch of AIESEC in CITY, Poland, is excited to receive students from Victoria for this project! For any questions, feel free to contact me back as well, as I can also share my exchange experience and answer any other inquiries.
