My name is, and I am from Iota, Louisiana. I have played basketball
my entire life and have traveled to many places. Playing basketball has introduced me to many
experiences pertaining to education and experiences with other cultures. My goals are to
become the best math and history teacher I can be and to become a great basketball
coach. Also, I believe in being a life-long learner.
I was born in Jennings, Louisiana, and grew up in the rural town of Iota my entire life.
Being an only child has come with a great deal of special privileges, and I have always enjoyed
them. My father’s family has resided in Iota for over six generations. My mother’s family is
from Italy and currently live in Evangeline, Louisiana. One of my special abilities is playing the
electric guitar. I recently started playing the guitar. When I was in first grade, I started playing
basketball. In sixth grade, I joined the varsity team and played on it until my senior year. I set
many school records, and I played college basketball at Louisiana State University at Eunice. I
have traveled many places. My favorite place that I have traveled is Los Angeles, California.
California was amazing, and I loved everything about it. I have traveled to many states, and
Oklahoma was one of the most beautiful. In my spare time, I like to go mud riding with my
family and play video games, especially, Guitar Hero. Since I was a child, I have collected
sports cards, and I now have over a thousand. Life-long learning starts when you are young and
with your parents encouragement and teachings. Teachers influence students’ futures. I believe

teachers should not only teach a subject but also influence students to do their best, and encourage them to make life-long goals. Outside educational experience, I have coached basketball, worked at Louisiana State University football games, and at Louisiana State University at Eunice softball games. When I have time, I help coach basketball at Bethel Christian School in Jennings, Louisiana. Sometimes, I also coach girls’ basketball one-on-one. When Louisiana State University won the football championship, I worked all the home games. Working the football games required plenty of patience and great math skills. I also have educational experience. I have been in charge of chapel for the younger students. At Bethel Christian School, I help coach basketball for the high school team. I also was a D.A.R.E. role model for four years. During a summer camp, I was in charge of about a hundred children, which was a difficult task. In high school, I participated in Beta club, GPA, FCA, volleyball, softball, chapel team, quiz bowl, and basketball. I received honor roll and banner roll. For basketball, I received all-district honors, all-parish honors, Jeff Davis Parish Athlete of the Week, McNeese summer camp MVP, and set school records in almost every category. Because of my successful basketball achievements, my school dedicated a banner to me in the gym. In college, I have made the dean’s list. While playing basketball at LSU-E, we traveled to many states. Every state seemed to have a unique culture, but the most unique that I have visited is Los Angeles, California. The people speak so many different languages. The landscape is beautiful. My favorite place in Los Angeles was Rodeo Drive and Venice Beach.
