Learn how to keep a secret from Anne Hathaway as she reveals how she hid her pregnancy while
shooting “The Witches.”
Jack, Anne Hathaway’s second son will have an interesting story for all his friends as he grows older. He
can tell them without a doubt that he was pseudo cast in The Witches. Having found about her new
baby, she decided to keep it a secret for a while.
Anne Hathaway in her latest appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan confessed that she was pregnant
with her second child during the filming of The Witches. Anne Hathaway exclaimed enthusiastically, “I
have a beautiful almost-11-month-old-boy, but I was pregnant when I made The Witches, so technically
he’s all over that performance.”
She made all efforts to keep her pregnancy a secret on-set but was still faced with some issues with the
well-known costume designer Joanna Johnson. On her first fitting for the movie with the designer, Anne
recalls, “She goes, ‘I really want you to have a tight waist.’ Having just found about her bundle of love
and joy she remembers telling, “Mmm, no. No, I don’t think so. No.” “And she was like, ‘Well why?’ And
I was like, ‘Eh, you know, I just know myself.’ I’m scrambling for a reason,” she recollects.
“And I’m like, ‘I just know myself and I know that I won’t be as free… if I’m constrained around my
middle, so we just better make everything very loose,’” Anne said.
In July 2019, she announced her pregnancy to her fans through a post on Instagram where she shared a
picture of her baby bump. She cheekily captioned the post, “It’s not for a movie… #2,” leaving all her
fans in awe and surprising them.
We are all amazed at Anne’s knack to keep her pregnancy a secret while shooting for The Witches. It
makes us all the more eager and excited to watch it!
