PART 1: Visual Storytelling Strategy Elements
Your Storytelling Plan
Objective My objective for visual storytelling is to create a strong online presence, share my artwork in the online media, and reach a global audience. I chose Instagram as my social media platform and will engage with my audience through the platform, as almost everyone has Instagram, and has good features like stores, cohesive profiles, and reels, through which I can share my artwork. My theme is co-existing and growing with nature, as we humans often forget nature, and we don’t spend time with or appreciate or even harm it. I want my audience to connect and relate to my theme.
Target Audience Teens and adults are the target audience whom I want to engage and connect with through my artwork, as most are busy with this busy world and thus forget nature or neglect them instead of living with them and spending time with it. And I believe they can understand this topic better than children, also I believe children spend a good time with nature regardless.
Visual Elements I would use images related to nature from the internet, some of my photographs of nature, and also a few quotes to make it more meaningful.
Storytelling Approach I would have a heading for my theme, add more pictures for my artwork to be appealing, and add a few meaningful quotes and words for better understanding and depth (connecting with the audience visually and emotionally). I would add
strategies for my audience to be engaged, by providing a Q/A posting space.
Captions or Descriptions I would add a few of my own words under certain images, and add a few outside quotes related to my images as captions, enabling a better and deeper understanding of my images. I might also use storytelling techniques to engage audiences, add some fun facts, or ask- provoking thoughtful questions in the description.
Engagement Strategies Since I am using Instagram, I would participate in direct message conversations with my audience, as mentioned above have a Q/A posting space, and conduct polls/surveys to collect opinions and feedback on my artwork. I would add an art day which is similar to Fan Art Friday, and would dedicate to sharing the artwork of my audience, or either have a day where my aidnices choose what I would do that day for my art.
Anything Else? I would also add YouTube to my artwork platform to share more of my artwork and keep my audience engaged through either platform they are comfortable with.

My visual storytelling plan is to convey my artwork through social media to create a online strong branding foundation and then reach a global audience. My theme is about living and growing with nature, as people nowadays neglect nature and they don't appreciate nature enough. My platform would be Instagram as almost everyone has Instagram these days and it has features to leverage and help audiences to engage.
I added images of nature taken by my sister and images by an artist named Laurence Winram, a photographer who conveys stories through his photography. I mentioned heading for my mood board, and I pasted my mood board as I was not able to share it as a link. My mood bard also consists of quotes by other artists and a scientist and quotes by me. I want my audience to emotionally connect with nature appreciate it and grow with it every day. I want my mood board to be a motivation, through my visual storytelling.
