Objective: Based on our reading of Speak, in groups, please consider a SAP that could be employed in a
secondary school setting. Consider an issue that surfaced for you and how you could be proactive about
interrupting any cycle of oppression. The goal of this is to create a SAP that works toward disrupting harm
or injury (whether it be emotional, psychological, or physical) of another, the self, an animal, or the
environment.
Please include the following when designing your project.
I. Provide a detailed description of the SAP that includes a rationale for the project (explains the reason for
the project and how you hope it can benefit students), include theories that support the rationale (e.g.,
critical literacy, constructivism, etc), cite properly (in APA or MLA), and any obstacles you foresee in its
execution. ____/50

Objective: Based on our reading of Speak , in groups , please consider a SAP that could be employed in a

Miller Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment AP English Date due: 150 pts How to commit the prefect crime and get away with it... Your final project for Crime and Punishment is to think about, plan, act and rationalize the perfect crime. The following rules apply: Do not:

  1. commit a crime that is punishable by the law(tagging, stealing, defacement/destruction of property)
  2. commit a crime which can or has the potential to cause injury to others or to yourself
  3. be insensitive towards any living being or creature(these are punishable by me!!) Do:

For your final project you are to propose a thesis and prove it. The method for how you accomplish it is entirely up to your discretion. However, I do not want you to under any circumstance to put yourself in any physical or moral danger! You must propose a thesis which proves that within Santa Fe county there is some form on inhumanity against humankind. In other words, where does racism, classism or injustice exist in Santa Fe? This may take the form of an interview(recorded on tape or video), a written up survey, photographs, art or any other method you deem as appropriate. You may want to visit a store where migrant workers work, visit a fast food restaurant, visit a prison, visit the hospital, an abortion clinic, visit a court hearing, watch the news and further investigate a crime against humanity... Your tasks contain the following: You will have no longer than 7 minutes to share your research with the class a. define your thesis(50) ___ b. explain and show your method of investigation(25) ___ c. describe your findings(15) ___ d. describe how your findings made you feel(15) ___ e. describe the rationale of the inhumanity by supporting it with a philosophy(this may take further research-I can be of some assistance here)(50) ___ Total(155) ___ *if you do an interview, you must submit a clean copy of your interview as well as any interviews/surveys you conducted. All of this must be submitted and written up.
