The meter machine will indicate when the sample has been accepted & display the current capillary blood glucose read. Apply slight pressure to the puncture site & cover with a bandaid. Remove PPE if indicated & WASH YO HANDS !! Document the findings & treat per doc's orders. Open the OUTSIDE of the wrapper and peel back the top layer, making sure to ONLY TOUCH the outside! Remove the inner package and use the "CUFF END" side closest to the body.

Remove the sticky label from the positive (+) side of the new battery.

Change water as needed. With no cleanser on the washcloth, wipe one eye from the inner corner of the eye going outward. Repeat on other eye. Using cleanser, bathe pt face, neck, and ears. Working your way down, bathe pt's arms, chest, abdomen.
