Hi everyone, today I will be talking about how we live in a
country where you can be too privileged to go to jail. Racism
is very common in the culture of Australia; racism is more
than just hatred or prejudice, It consists of hatred, prejudice
andpower.

DEFINITION 2
Just think about this. Two men both a ged 27, one is aboriginal, Mr.
Briscoe point to your left and here (po int to right side) we have Mr.
Sweeney who is not aboriginal. Mr Sw eeney went to his friends
birthday party at Crown Casino. Accor ding to witnesses he had
been ignored by a few of the guests, near midnight Daniel who was
under the influence of alcohol decide d that he wanted to assault a
man who was known as Richard Huis waard.

He smashed a wine glass in the mans face and punched him
twice in the head which resulted in the man to bleed.
Richard was left needing stitches and time off work.
Witnesses said that Mr Sweeney did not wait for the police
he, fled the scene like a coward the Mr. Huiswaard said.

Now here (left side) we have Mr Briscoe who was also
drinking with friends, but he did not assault or scar any ones
face, on this day Briscoe encountered the police where he
was chased and wrestled to the ground, He was taken to
protective custody.

Mr Briscoe was complaining about a b leeding head wound that the
police gave him when they tackled h im, but Briscoes pleas for
treatment were ignored by the Polic e who wee listening to music
while he was choking and gasping, two hours later, t he police
finally decided to call an ambulance, there was no point because
the innocent 27-year-old was dead.

Sweeney (point to right) the 27 year old that actually committed a crime did not die in police custody nor was he arrested even-though his crime made it to trial and he was pleaded guilty, he did not serve oneday in jail. He only received a 18 month suspended sentence and $5000 fine. TERM 7

DEFINITION 7 the reason Mr Sweeney did not go to jail was because according to Jack Vandersteen he would not last long in jail Vendersteen continued on saying that not many people are in jail who went to Haileybury naming the well known private school that Sweeney went to. Going to a well known private school does not make Sweeney any less guilty. TERM 8

DEFINITION 8 The death of Mr Briscoe went to court, it was certain that Police officers made errors but they were not charged with anything even though they were the result of an innocent mans death. TERM 9

DEFINITION 9 This clearly shows how innocent people are treated just because of their colour (do talking marks with hands Australia is always trying to stop racism or give back to the aboriginals who are the natives of this lands, but year by year people seem to stop caring about them, If We are racist to natives of our own land then how are we supposed to accept others? TERM 10

DEFINITION 10 Racism should not be as serious as it is if people just got together and decided to stop the prejudice and the hatred they have for people that look different or have a different skin colour, or if they stopped for a minute and thought about how it feels to be basically be kicked out of your own native home land and be looked at like you dont belong, all this racism and hatred would stop.
