Don't forget that Pro Tools saves every take! How do you start a new session if the Quick Start Dialog Box isn't showing? - ✔✔File>New Session What are I/O settings? - ✔✔Inputs/outputs on a mixer. This includes the buses required for Mono, Stereo, or various types of Surround Sound. Surround Sound is only available with Pro Tools HD. What are the best Bit Depth settings? - ✔✔For the highest quality audio record at 24 bit or 32-bit float and dither down, if needed in the final mix.
How do you add new tracks to your session? - ✔✔Tracks > New to pull up the New Track dialog box. Shortcuts for creating tracks: - ✔✔New Tracks dialog box: Command + Shift + N Track format: Command + left/right arrows Track type: Command + up/down arrows Track Timebase Command + Option + up/down arrows Add/remove Rows: Command + Shift + up/down arrows To add multiple tracks with the same format, type and Timebase: - ✔✔Type in the amount of tracks wanted into the Track Number field To add multiple tracks with different configurations: - ✔✔Click the add row "+".
