1 The seven public schools meeting the criteria (over 0 and under 200
enrollment) are in the following neighborhoods:
Perry South, Windgap, Fairywood, Southside Flats, Bon Air, Brookline,
and Carrick.
2 The two schools with the lowest enrollment are Pioneer Education Center
in Brookline and Bon Air in Bon Air. Pioneer Education Center has a lower
enrollment than Bon Air, despite the fact that its area has a greater
population of 5 to 17-year-olds than that of Bon Air’s. Therefore, Pioneer
Education Center is the most likely candidate for closure.
