exercises paralleling the topics in BIOL 2117. The laboratory exercises for this course include microbial

Course Grade: The final course grade will be based upon the following: Assignment Category Category Weight Lab Practical Exam 15% Discussion Forum 10% Lab Reports 30% Connect Lab Assignments 10% Disease Project – video presentation of slideshow 25% Disease Project – annotated bibliography 10% To calculate any percentage grade: number of questions you got correct / by total number of questions * by 100 "/" means divide "*" means multiply Makeup Policy: Late work will be accepted with a penalty of 10% reduction in grade per day. No late work will be accepted past the last day of the semester. This policy may be waived in the case of major documented situations such as hospitalization, jury duty, etc. BL - Blended Class Structure Blended Classes are mostly asynchronous (more than 50% of classwork) but also have some scheduled in-person or online synchronous class meeting times too. All assignments with the exception of the Lab Practical are online. You will come to campus at a scheduled time to complete the Lab Practical. Student-Initiated Withdrawal from Courses: It is the student’s responsibility to initiate an official withdraw from any course utilizing the Smartweb Banner Registration portal https://smartweb.augustatech.edu/index.cms Sign into Smartweb using your Augusta Tech credentials, select Student Services & Financial Aid, Registration, then Add/Drop classes. Course Participation Student participation in online courses is demonstrated by submission of academic assignments. Logging into Blackboard does not establish attendance in a course. A student’s failure to submit an assignment during the first 7 days of the course will result in his/her withdrawal from the course. Students enrolled in an online course who fail to attend any proctored course event will receive an F for the course.
