Students are able to search for and review drug information sources to
provide Evidence-based Medicine, and apply knowledge regarding
pharmacological profiles of hypertension drugs, heart failure drugs,
arrhythmias, hypotensive drugs, stroke drugs, ischemic heart disease
(IHD) drugs, acute myocardial infarction drugs (antiplatelet,
anticoagulants, fibrinolytic) , heart failure drugs, antiarrhythmic drugs,
antidyslipidemia drugs, shock, acute and chronic kidney failure drugs
(anti-anaemia, electrolyte disorders and acid-base equilibrium),
including pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, metabolism and
excretion), pharmacodynamics (mechanism of action, and target drug
action in the body) as the basis for selecting the appropriate drug for
patient.

:
This course deals with the profiles pharmacology of cardiovascular and
renal drugs include pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, and
metabolism, excretion), pharmacodynamics (mechanism of action, and
target of drug action in the body), and evidence-based medicine in
cardiovascular and renal disease, including: antihypertensives,
antiarrhythmic drugs, ischemic heart disease (IHD) drugs, myocardial
infarction drugs, heart failure drugs, antiarrhythmic drugs, anti-
dyslipidemia drugs, acute and chronic kidney failure drugs (anti-
anaemia, electrolyte disorders and acid-base equilibrium).
