Background noise

 (^) Background noise can effect the way people communicate by noise in the background such as loud music, people arguing and fighting. This can affects people communicating because there mind and attention would be towards what is going outside rather than what they are doing  (^) Background noise can make the person lose concentration in whatever activity they are doing and therefore it can cause the person to make mistakes or they can potentially fail.  (^) Background noise can affect someone’s concentration to something or someone. An example of this can be phone calls or text messages. If you were doing a presentation and someone calls during the presentation , it can take away the person’s attention from the presentation to someone calling on the phone.  (^) To prevent background noise, you would need to go a room where there is less noise and go to a classroom where there are not much students roaming around. The less background noise, the easier it will be to succeed.

Lack of respect

 (^) Lack of respect can affect one’s communication because not having respect for someone will make someone not bother to communicate with you or they would retaliate by disrespecting you. Lack of respect will make a person extremely unlikable.  (^) Lack of respect can also make a person lose their self esteem and confidence. For example if a person was extremely disrespectful towards one another, the person that was disrespected would say something hurtful to the person that was unpleasant. This would humble the person who is disrespectful.  (^) Not having respect or manners will make a person ostracized and it will make a person seem worthless towards others. For example if someone asks you for help and you respond to them rudely, the person would not ask the same person for help again. So having lack of respect will damage the person’s self esteem.  (^) To prevent having lack of respect, you should consider someone’s worth and you should be tolerant to another one. Also you should be considerate of how you treat others in a workplace, schools and other public places. Having respect and manners is the most important because you should treat others how you want to be treated.

Anger

 (^) Anger can affect one’s communication because being angry towards someone will make the person become less confident and more timid. Therefore some people after being shouted can get easily anxious after doing something they are not supposed to do.  (^) Being angry means that you do not have enough patience to listen to someone when they are trying to defend themselves in a difficult situation.  (^) Anger can affect the way you communicate because it can limit your problem-solving skills as it affects the way the brain processes information.  (^) To prevent anger, you should consider being patient towards people especially difficult individuals. Also you should try and understand how they feel about certain problem and come about how you can help them solve it.
