Organ donation is the process of giving an organ to someone in need of a transplant. A transplant can save/enhance the lives of many people. A single person can save up to 8 peoples lives and help to improve the lives of up to 50 people. TERM 2

DEFINITION 4 Brain stem death is where a person no longer has any activity in their brain because of a brain injury. They have no chance becoming conscious and have no ability to breath. TERM 5
DEFINITION 5 Circulatory death is when the heart and lungs are no longer functioning after cardiac arrest and the patient cant or shouldnt be resuscitated.
