1) Mental Status Examination: View the recorded psychiatric interview submitted in Week 4 and observe the mental status of your volunteer. Use appropriate terminology to document your observations of the mental status exam (MSE) components below. Appearance 19 y/o Caucasian male, appears to be stated age, well- nourished and well developed. He is alert and oriented. Casually dressed, well groomed, somewhat short and stocky build. Good gaze w/ no abnormal body movements. Behavior and attitude Normal affect with calm and cooperative demeanor. Appears relaxed and comfortable during the interview. Maintains good eye contact. Speech Speech is clear, normal volume, and coherent. Normal pitch and tone. Affect and mood Mood positive. Affect happy, good variation in facial expression and tone of voice.
