Measure (test question, paper, presentation, etc.): Ten weekly homework assignments include essay questions involve the analysis of a current article, usually from the Wall Street Journal. The student is required to apply the model from class to the topic of the article. Goal 3: An informed critical stance that will allow students to weigh and apply ideas and claims from the social and behavioral sciences outside the classroom Objective/Outcome: The student should be able to identify fallacies in political speeches, proposed legislative arguments, and other proposed economic arguments Measure (test question, paper, presentation, etc.): Ten weekly homework assignments include essay questions involving the analysis of a current article, usually from the Wall Street Journal. The student is required to evaluate the stance of the politician or legislator making proposed fiscal policy changes.
