Section A
1. Compare and contrast Broadbent's and Treisman's models of selective attention. How
do these differ from late-selection models? Which model seems a better explanation
of selective attention (and why)?
2. Compare and contrast, and illustrate by example, the main ideas behind the
Behavioural and Corollary Discharge theories of movement perception
Section B
3. Critically evaluate the neuropsychological evidence that dyslexia has a biological
basis.
4. Using detail from empirical studies, critically discuss the role of the medial temporal
lobe in memory.
5. Part (a): Compare and contrast two models of executive function. (50%)
Part (b): Discuss how damage to the executive system can impact on a rehabilitation
programme with reference to one of these models. (50%)
