Nexus 9000 + APIC = ACI

What is ACI

The APCI controller is an engine for the entire

spine and leaf architecture.

BASIC COMPONENT'S OF ACI

1. Cisco’s Nexus 9000 Series switches

a. NX 9500 are spines

b. NX 9300 are leafs

2. Policy Model

a. ACI is declarative model (Not imperative )

b. Intent Driven network

3. APIC ( Application policy infrastructure Controller )

a. Which manages both overlay ( logical design of the network )

and underlay (physical design of the network )

b. Cisco UCS C220 ( Rack mount server from cisco )

4. ACI Fabric provides stateless infrastructure
