CONSTIPATION
constipation is also commin problem of neonated.breast fed infants may pads several
times stools but bottlefed baboes usually presents complaint of constipation
CAUSES
- provide artificial feeding to the baby espescially with cows milk
-Any congenital anomaly of gastro intestinal system
-Lack of fluid intake by baby in feed
Management
-Advice mother to never give lacatives to such babies
-provide juice,glucose water and extra sugar in milk
-give advice to mother regarding breast feeding and its importance and advice
regarding artificial feeding and health hazards
EXCESSIVE CRYING
neonate baby can not speak,in that crying acta as a langauage for the baby.babies
produce crying as a symbol of demand for the comfort
CAUSES
-baby may cry when he or she feels hunger
-when nappies solied by urine ,stool ,child will get discomfort and start crying
-Discomfory feeling before passinv the urine and stool
-due to any bite like insects
-when baby feels loneliness,hot,colf child may cry
-Some times crying may related to disease condition life meningitis
Management
-understand the pattern of crying
-The baby who is crying should be handled with love affection and pat the child
properly
-provide breast feeding to hungery baby
-clean the babys cot properly and remove the soiled linens or mackintosh
-keep the baby in lap and cuddle the baby
