Subject: Findings from Survey on Recycling Participation and Awareness
Dear Ms. DHD,
I am writing this memorandum to share the results of the survey conducted by team A
regarding recycling participation in Hanoi, as your request. Below, you will nd a
summary of the key ndings.
INTRODUCTION: OBJECTIVES AND SIGNIFICANCE. This report presents the ndings of
our recent survey on recycling in Hanoi, aiming to gauge public engagement and
awareness regarding recycling practices. The insights gathered from this survey will
inform our organization's strategy in promoting recycling initiatives.
MOTIVATIONS FOR RECYCLING: The survey identied several factors driving individuals
to recycle, including environmental concern, economic incentives, convenience, peer
pressure, and the presence of recycling programs. Notably, environmental concern
emerged as the primary motivator, cited by 94.38% of respondents, followed by
convenience (66.29%) and existing recycling programs (46.07%). Other factors such as
economic aordability and peer pressure were also noted, albeit to a lesser extent.
LEVEL OF RECYCLING KNOWLEDGE: A signicant portion of respondents indicated a
high level of knowledge about recycling, with the majority falling into this category. The
remaining respondents were distributed among varying levels of knowledge, with a
notable percentage identifying as neutral or less knowledgeable. A small percentage of
participants did not disclose their level of knowledge.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: The majority of respondents possessed either a
Master's or Bachelor's degree, comprising 34.8% and 33.8% of the sample, respectively.
Those with Associate Degrees and High School education each represented 11.2% of
respondents, while the smallest proportion held PhD degrees at 9%.
CONCLUSION: The ndings suggest a growing concern for the environment among
individuals, highlighting the importance of environmental motivations in driving recycling
behavior. Furthermore, the results underscore the need for tailored recycling campaigns
targeting dierent educational levels.
Thank you for your attention to this report. Should you require further information, please
do not hesitate to contact me via email.
Best regards,
[Y/N]
