in Downtown Bowling Green in the Fall of 1993
5. Why does it exist? What is its purpose in the community? It was organized by a group of Downtown Business Owners and
members of the community who had an interest in spotlighting the arts in Bowling Green. Each year, the Festival has grown.
6. Why did you select this topic? What made it seem interesting to you? I picked this topic because it seemed interesting and I have
attended the festival couple times, and each time I have something caught my eye that seemed intriguing.
7. What is your MISSION for this story? What are you hoping to achieve by publicizing this topic? My mission throughout this story is
to promote and market the black swamp festival and to also promote the arts in the Bowling Green community.
