Macrophages
o Chemotaxis: ability of neutrophil to follow bacteria through the sensing of certain products o Opsonized: cells which are marked with an antibody from B-cells can be detected by neutrophils o Pus: dead collections of neutrophils are responsible for this
o Hypermutation: humoral immunity takes longer because each B-cell undergoes this change in its antigen-binding region in an attempt to find a best match for the antigen. o Clonal Selection: Only those B-cells with a high affinity for an antigen will survive.
o If virus downregulates production of MHC-I molecules, then natural killer cells will recognize this and cause apoptosis of the cell
