Integral Tables Homework: Identifying and Evaluating Different Types of Integrals - Prof. , Assignments of Calculus

A list of problems for section 7.3 of a homework assignment focused on identifying and evaluating different types of integrals using tables of integrals. Students are encouraged to practice at least two problems from each section (ii-vi), and turn in one problem from each row for a total of 8 problems.

Homework section 7.3 Tables of Integrals
Suggested Problems:
In this section the different types of integrals are mixed up in the collection of exercises. You should
look at the problems and see in what category of integral they fall. Once you have identified the
type of integral, use the formulas from the table to evaluate the integrals. Skip # 30 ....
Below I will list the problems that belong to sub-tables II, III, IV, V, and VI. Make sure you
practice at least 2 problems from each section (more is always better).
Section II: 1, 24, 38
Section III: 2, 3, 4, 9, 15 - 18, 21, 23
Section III - sinx cosx products: 13, 14, 22
Section IV:
sine or cosine to positive power: 6, 36
sine or cosine to negative power: 19, 25 - 28
sine and cosine to higher powers: 7, 37, 39, 40
Section V: 8, 10, 20, 29, 31 - 35
Section VI: 11,12
Problems to turn in:
Turn in one problem from each row in the assignment above. So there should be a total of 8
problems. The choice of problem is up to you. For example row three mentions 3 problem: 13, 14
and 22. Pick one of those and write up the answer. I’m not too concerned with you showing work
in this section.
