Mission Moment

May 20, 2019

Grand Strand Medical Center held it’s first-ever Honor Walk. Dozens of our colleagues lined the halls in a display of honor and support as a hero and his family who chose to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation made their way to save lives. The gift of life will be shared with recipients in our Myrtle Beach community and across the U.S. We thank our hero, his family and friends for sharing this moment with us. Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.

Since Hurricane Florence, Grand Strand Health has worked with the City of Myrtle Beach, Horry County, SCDHEC and SC Emergency Management to develop a “Maintenance of Essential Services” plan.

  • Outlines the necessary steps that Grand Strand Health takes to remain open during hurricane events up to a Category 5 storm including staffing response teams and food and supply maintenance This plan has been accepted by all named jurisdictions, and we currently await guidance from the Governor’s office on a timeframe to implement.
