I. Introduction to Project Management

The SmartHouse project marks a revolutionary leap in the realm of home management, introducing a paradigm shift where IoT and Big Data technologies transcend mere buzzwords to become the core of an advanced automated system. In the SmartHouse ecosystem, every home appliance evolves into an intelligent assistant, dedicated to personalizing and enhancing the living experience for each resident. Tailored for the tech-savvy demographic, SmartHouse welcomes a new generation into a contemporary home management space. Here, residents can seamlessly control various aspects of their homes, from selecting personalized settings to monitoring processes, all through their familiar smartphones. SmartHouse is meticulously designed to optimize resource consumption, emphasizing water and energy savings while ensuring optimal care for residents' belongings. IoT sensors embedded in appliances not only collect data but also predict and prevent malfunctions, minimizing downtime and boosting operational efficiency. The integration of Big Data allows SmartHouse to analyze user habits, providing personalized suggestions for every home activity. This data-driven approach not only guarantees cleanliness but also ensures the preservation of personal belongings. Moreover, SmartHouse leverages Big Data insights to identify usage trends, facilitating adjustments to schedules for optimal service while contributing to environmental conservation through efficient resource utilization. Beyond its core laundry services, SmartHouse introduces additional conveniences like home delivery and membership benefits. These enhancements not only elevate the customer experience but also foster a strong community bond between residents and SmartHouse.

Figure 1: Big data In the context of Vietnam's rapid technological development, SmartHouse represents a significant stride forward, merging cutting-edge technology with customer-centric service design. It doesn't merely meet modern demands but redefines them, positioning SmartHouse at the forefront of the industry transformation in Vietnam and beyond.

II. Project initialization

Main goals of the project: The main purpose of the SmartHouse project is to revolutionize the management service of the transmission system by integrating IoT and Big Data technology to provide an automated, efficient and personalized experience. The project aims to attract a young, tech-savvy demographic by providing a service that is convenient and user-friendly while still being environmentally conscious and data-driven. List of goals to achieve the goal:

  1. Specifically: Develop a user-friendly mobile application that allows customers to interact with management services, including features such as customizing air conditioning temperature, monitoring and accessing the mentioned service export.
  2. Measurable: Equip 20 machines shut down with IoT sensors within the first six months to collect data on usage patterns, energy consumption and performance.
  3. Achievable: Establish a fully operational SmartHouse service in a high-density building, reaching young professionals and students, within the first year of operation.
  4. Related: Deploy big data analytics to analyze customer usage profiles and machine performance, to improve customer satisfaction by at least 30% and reduce energy consumption by 20% at the beginning of the year.
  5. Time-limited: Have a stable customer base with at least 500 active app users and achieve monthly revenue of about 200 million VND in the first 9 months

III. Project management plan

1. Scope: What can and cannot be done What the project will do: Integrating IoT and big data: - Deploy IoT sensors in the building to collect data on operational parameters such as humidity, temperature, and movement in and out.

  • Use big analytics to process and analyze data to derive optimizations, personalized customer experiences, and make informed business decisions. Mobile application development:
  • Develop user-friendly mobile applications, allowing customers to interact with management services.
  • Includes features for customization, status tracking, accessing service transactions, and managing user profiles and payment options. Enhance customer experience:
