Bible Memorization Game: A Flash-based Tool for Adults and Children, Study Guides, Projects, Research of Typography

The concept for a bible memorization game designed for adults and children aged 7 and above. The game, which will be developed using flash, aims to teach and learn bible verses through a visually engaging and interactive experience. The game's functionality, including the use of an announcer to read scriptures aloud, fill-in-the-blanks exercises, and the ability to progress to the next verse once the entire scripture and verse are correctly filled in. The game is not timed to allow users to focus on learning.

Description
People have always wanted to learn more about the Bible. One of
the main goals as it relates to the Bible is to memorize scriptures.
Yet, most of the Bible Memorization Tools to do this are very
children focused. I have looked around for such games and they
are always found in the children’s section of the store. Yet, adults
need to learn the scriptures too. So, the purpose of this game is
to be a memorization tool to teach and to learn Bible verses for
adults as well as children from the age of 7+. The medium used
will be Flash.
Because of time constraints, only a select few memory verses
will be implemented to illustrate the functionality of the game.
Although, this game’s content will be Bible Scriptures, it could
possibly be changed to work with other material that people want
to learn.
How it works
There will be a screen with a nice design. A closed scroll will
come from the left of the screen and open up in the middle of the
screen. On it, will appear the title “The Scroll” which will fade in
from left to right. On this page will be an Instructions button and a
Start button.
When the “game” is begun, the next scroll will come up. First,
will the Bible scripture will appear. Because some people are
auditory learners and some are visual, there will be an announcer
to read the scriptures. It is possible that a mute button will be
added to disable the auditory function in case it is not desired.
The announcer will read the scripture aloud and the game will
automatically go to the next slide, erasing the scripture. Next,
the verse will fade in along with the verse at the bottom. Once it
has completely come in, the announcer will read the scripture and
verse in its entirety. At the bottom of the scroll will be the option
for the announcer to repeat or for the user to go to the next scroll.
In the next scroll the verse and scripture will be displayed exactly
like on the last scroll, however with fill in the blanks. The user will
have the option of showing Hints which will display all the missing
words in no particular order on the scroll. If the user answers
all of them correct they will progress to the next slide, however if
anything is wrong they will automatically be taken back to the last
slide with the whole verse written out and will have to continue
until they fill in everything correctly. Once they progress, they will
be taken to the last scroll for this verse where they will be required
to write the entire scripture and verse. Only punctuation will be
displayed on the screen. If they get it all right they will progress to
the next verse. If not, they will be taken back to the second scroll
again.
Because different people learn at different speeds and the purpose
of this tool is for learning, it will not be a timed environment so the
user can focus on actually learning the material.
