hindering Germany's military and eco nomy. Many Germans were
dissatisfied with the Weimar after thi s controversial move, which
gave the Nazis momentum to overt hrow this liberal form of
government.

Who:Sigmund FreudWhat: Austrian n eurologist, now known as the
father of psychoanalysis.When: 1856 -1939Significance: Sigmund
Freud believed in psychology there w as an eternal battle in the

and the id (bestiality and sexual desire s) the meeting of the two
created the ego, or the subconsciou s. Freud believed that World
War II was chiefly caused by the id ov erwhelming the superego,
plunging the world into war.

What: A proletariat is the working cla ss of society, it is communist
jargon.When: The term proletariat w as coined during the Bolshevik

the world, creating one harmonious g overnment very soon. Stalin
believed the same, with the except ion of Russia would have to
perfect the system first, then other nations would follow.

DEFINITION 9 What: Afeeling of disappointment resulting from the discovery that something is not as good as one believed it to be.When: 1918onwardSignificance: Similar to the art movements, many people felt disillusioned with many things such as nationalism and many things before WWI due to the unprecedented Great War.
