Ethnicity and Race
In today’s society, the concepts of race and ethnicity have changed enormously across different countries,
cultures, areas, and customs over time. Race is real to the extent that it possesses social implications such
as discrimination. Although differences do exist, we are ninety-nine point nine percent the same
genetically. The main concept of this all is why does race exist as a social phenomenon and what can we
do to diminish the social impact of race? A change is needed, but in order to make a change, we need to
stand up and make a positive impact for our future generation. The important question in mind is how will
we move forward with this change? Well, we begin by considering the six reasons why race is not a
scientifically valid and problematic concept.
