Perform treatment if trained.
EVACUATE Evacuate from immediate danger.
HIDE OUT Hide in a secure room.
TAKE ACTION Defend yourself as last resort.
Monitor all exits and corridors near
department.
Keep yourself safe and wait for Public
Safety.
Await further directions.
If emergent, evacuate Horizontal or Vertical.
Close all corridor, fire/smoke doors.
Clinical areas move patients to corridors.
Ambulatory patients/visitors to corridors or
interior room.

If receive Bomb Threat, call 83-5555.
Quick search of area for suspicious objects.
Designated departments respond to ED or labor pool
as directed by policy..
Think of actions to be taken/precautions if a Code
Black Tornado Warning is announced.
PCC’s to print current Census in their departments.
For power failure ensure all essential equipment
is plugged into Red outlets.
Other failures, follow directions per policy.
