HIV/AIDS Prevention Using a Medicine Wheel I have decided to use the medicine wheel to develop the appropriate interventions to prevent or reduce the risk of a fourteen year old female from contracting HIV/AIDS. The medicine wheel is one of great tool to identify appropriate interventions and provide wholistic approach. Medicine wheel can cover four aspects Physical, Mental ,Emotional , Spiritual. Physical fourteen year old girl lives in South Africa.From socioeconomic perspective lake of health care and limited access to healthcare providers prevent seeking help , consultation. Lake of supply and preventing methods condoms, limited access to necessary hygiene supplies, unsecured proper nutrition. Gender-based violence and intimate partner violence Mental Lack of knowledge and education about way of transmission Emotional Lake of family supports, social supports, confidence. Stigma prevent girl from finding out if she at risk Spiritual Believe of having multiple relationships The believe of sugar daddy sex due to poverty
