The life of Caya Norfleet was a life well lived. At the age of 74 she died from heart disease in her home in North Carolina. During infancy through physical development she learned many things such as eating and sleeping (Feldman, 2019). Caya successfully learned basic reflexes by quickly learning to take steps and grabbing larger objects. Caya passed through Piaget’s approach to cognitive development (Feldman, 2019). Whenever she were to see a bird she would use assimilation to compare it to a bat. Accommodation was necessary for her to understand that the bird was a distinct animal as well as a physical development. As an infant she was a very happy baby always smiling and laughing, this showed how she socially interacted. During the preschool stage she went through the preoperational stage, seeing her dad’s car would prompt the question “Going to the store?” as she always saw the keys as the symbol of a car ride (Feldman, 2019). She also was able to hold a conversation and comprehend with her parents through cognitive development. When Caya was 5 years old she was very social, she made many friends at her school and when interacting and playing games and toys as well as had no problem sharing, through this social development she learned how to have friendships. Caya learned imminent justice very quickly (Feldman, 2019). Knowing that when she did something wrong there would be a consequence. Throughout middle childhood physically Caya had grown a lot, she had a few growth sprouts. She grew to be 5 foot and 5 inches. During these early years of her life right when she came home from school, before she did anything else she would go straight to doing her homework and then enjoy her free time. This increased her ability to understand more complex skills (Feldman, 2019).

During the middle stages of adulthood around the age of 60 Caya started to develop health issues, she started to have pain in her chest which led her to have to go to the doctor’s frequently. She also had physically changed a lot from her change in exercise and diet. In her late years of adulthood and life Caya became more ill and had physically weakened her health concerns causing her to die from a heart disease, she passed at her home peacefully in North Carolina.
