Factoring Using Greatest Common Factor
Steps to Factoring Out the GCF of Polynomials
1. Find the Greatest Common Factor of the polynomial.
2. Divide by the GCF.
• Simplify coefficients
• Subtract exponents.
** Use this method when the leading coefficient is NOT 1.
