(2) How is literary discourse different from non-literary discourse? Discuss, referring primarily to texts included in the Art of Reading anthology.
(3) “It is said that analysing pleasure, or beauty destroys it. That is the intention of this article.” Explain this assertion on the part of Laura Mulvey, and discuss its validity more broadly, referring also to other texts included in the Art of Reading anthology.
(4) “I'll have you observe that reading proceeds in no other way. It listens in watching.” (Jacques Derrida) Discuss, referring primarily to texts included in the Art of Reading anthology.
(5) Umberto Eco juxtaposes “sane” and “paranoiac” interpretations. Please discuss this juxtaposition.
