VC 251 :: Week 03 1 of 1 14 October 2008
—Color Correction in Camera Raw Exercise —
Assignment ::
Using the Adobe Camera RAW (ACR), correct all of the images provided by the instructor. While there are many options within ARC, we will be focusing on the Basic and Tone Curve tabs to make adjustments similar to our color corrections in RGB. Focus on adjusting the color temperature, tint, and overall tonal curve.
Process ::
Locate a folder called Lab_Resources_03 in the instructor’s Handouts folder on XServe (XServe > Class Folders > VC 251 > Handouts). Rename the folder on your computer using your name in the following format: lastname_firstname_03.
For each of the images in the folder, correct them as best as you can using Adobe Camera Raw. To open the JPEGs in ACR, use File > Open…, select the image, and finally under Format, select Camera RAW.
After you have corrected the image as much as you can, click on the Open Image button, then save the image as a native Photoshop document (.psd)
Requirements ::
Place any files you create for this exercise in a folder named lastname_firstname_03 and place a copy in the instructor’s Drop Box on the XServe (XServe > Class Folders > VC 251
Drop Box). This exercise is due on Thursday, October 16th (Week 03) and is worth 25 points.
