The Steps of the writing a College Level Essay When writing an essay, there are eight steps for writing a college a level essay. The following steps are Organizing, Brainstorm, Picking a topic, Making a plan, Writing a draft, Editing the draft, Finalizing your draft, and last Repeating the process. In the first step of writing a College level essay to find out what you want to write about for your college that you are applying for to the schools. In this website called Common App, they allow you to write maximum words of 650 for any college, but it does depend on the college that you are applying for to the schools. Colleges would also want to have days where you want to start and finish so that you would have your essay in before the deadline.
Second, there is Brainstorming the essay. In brainstorming essays, you must be able to pick a topic that fascinates you the best way possible. You should outline what you want to write your essay. Thinking of events and other activities that you did before because some college would want to know what you do outside of school. Just having outlines of you would make the college think highly of you because they would look at this individuals essay and say that this person is an all-around student.
Third, pick a topic for the college level essay. After brainstorming ideas and having three outlines of what you want on your topic to be. Its time narrow your topic the one that profoundly describes you the most. That would be the one that would you use for your essay. When writing the essay, the essay has to be something that the author has to have a taste of your essay and the information that is being said about you or the topic that you pick. Giving them a thrill would make the author hear you through the words of what you put in the essay.
Fourth, making a plan for the essay. Making sure that the essay has a focus point because if the essay does not have a focus point did there is no point having a topic for writing an essay. Your essay would be all over the places and colleges would be profoundly baffled of what you are trying to say in your essay. They would think otherwise of you, especially if applying to Ivy League school. They would think some ways about you because of how you were writing your essay without a focus point. Having some Structure when it comes write an essay for colleges that what to know who you are. Having story of what or who you are. Have an explanation of what the situation that follows your story if there is one and just sequence from there until the end of the essay.
Fifth, writing a draft of the college essay. I remember writing my college essay, and my English teacher told just write until your fingers stop moving. She said, "Just keep writing and writing." Just write it out. In writing a draft, you are not looking for the perfection at all you are just writing out your ideas on paper. First, write an engaging introduction to your essay. You do not need a lengthy introduction to your essay. It can be beautiful, short and to the point. When
writing your essay finds ways or just put your ideas in your essay that follows the topic that you selected from narrowing it down the one that describes you the most.
Sixth, editing your draft for your college essay. Before thinking of publishing your essay put away for now and do not touch for few days. Just let your mind relax and regroup from all of the writing. Once that time is up, you can begin your editing on your essay. When editing your essay try to read your essay out loud and slowly so that you can catch every single would that you want and for spelling and also for grammar. Reading your essay back yourself would make you-you have what you want in your essay, and the essay makes sense for people to understand, especially the big schools like Harvard or Princeton that you would want to write to the school of your choice. You can scratch out the stuff that does not wish in your essay and reread the essay and just add more information if you're going to.
Seventh, Double editing or double checking everything in your college level essay. Make sure that you have everything that you have everything your essay that way that you wanted it. Making your sentences are structured to perfection. That your essay should not have any time of spelling errors in them. Make sure you read it out loud several times have one of friends to read it out loud for you so that it the essay that you want to write. Even when you have a double check have a triple check just to make sure that everything is superb in your essay without any errors and mistakes. Go back and rewrite anything that you miss in your sentences or paragraphs.
Finally, Do it all again your college essay. You can go back and write an essay that you want to write during that process of it, especially for schools. You can be reusing that same essay for different schools, but remember to change the deadline and school for which you write it to. Doing this will save you a lot of time when you have to write to 15 schools that you want to apply. Also having craft supplemental essays for what you are interested in like if you're going to do pre-med in college you have to volunteer in Hospital and put in your intellectual biology or any other sciences that your good in and from at that is it of the steps of having a successful college-level essay.
