FOREST FIRE

When we inhale wild fire emission may cause very harm full effects and even premature death. It is estimated that during the period of 1997 – 2006 an average 339,000 people died Each year as a result of wildfire smoke emissions. Extensive emission of wild fires notably decreased the air quality over the nearby areas and spread to the huge area of world wide .One of the effect of worst air quality of Delhi which is maximum affected by the burning of crop stubble cause Delhi to face lot of issues according to the survey Delhi is t he most polluted city of the world. This seems to be a warning for humans by the environment and we have to take some precaution to prevent the climate change and save the earth.

LESSION LEARNT

Climate change is one of the most dangerous force of nature .It destroy acres of acer land , lives , damaged property and infrastructure. The forest is habitat of flora and fauna and they play vital role in the equilibrium of earth .And due to the forest they got destroyed and this fires millions of innocent animals got killed , trees got destroyed and the burning of forest creates lot of smoke co2 and the tree are also absorbing the co2 that’s why the balance gone wrong and cause global warming and reason behind the heating of earth. The heating of earth cause the melting of ice bergs and polar region ,cause flood , droughts. If we don’t control it know then in the near future it will became massive. The greenhouse gases cause the hole in ozone layer of earth which cause to reach the ultra-violet rays on earth due to this lots of diseases occurs. We should follow all the safety rules to prevent the forest and try to plant more and more tree to save our earth and make it green.

SUSTAINABILITY

These are the 10 points of the sustainability of the Infosys :-  (^) Infosys is carbon neutral across scope 1,2,3 emissions in FISCAL FY21. Infosys enabled work from effectively has helped to bring down their overall scope 1,2 and 3 emission by about 46% most of the energy consumed is happens in their building.  (^) 50% of the company’s electricity needs in the India meets through renewable source of energy they are using solar energy and power procurement .They are continuously working with the government to increase the share of renewable energy in their energy consumption.  (^) In Infosys they are reducing the waste of water and enhancing the availability of water In their campuses .They are using water harvesting pond to harvest the rain water .They are restoring the herbal lake and helping the bio-diversity.

 (^) Infosys is among the first few organization globally to have its data privacy compliance framework certified with ISO 27701 privacy information management standard.  (^) The proportion of spending on local suppliers (in India) is nearly 71% in the year. They didn’t have any significant actual and potential negative human right and labor practice impacts in the supply chain.  (^) At Infosys , They follows a process of waste segregation at source through which entire waste is treated or disposed. They established biogas plants ,and organic waste convertors for food and garden waste to be recycled in their campuses in India

THINKING

Infosys is one of the reputed MNC of our country which provides business

consulting and information technology. After reading the sustainability

report of Infosys the company is doing such a great work in the field of

sustainability the campuses of company have their water harvesting system

sewage water treatment plant and they have lots of project with government

in the field of carbon neutralization. They are also focusing on renewable

resource of energy that’s why the fifty percentage of their energy

consumption is came from renewable energy.

Not only in the field of environment this company doing great work in field of

economic and social. They are supporting women empowerment as they

have 38% of the employees are women they are also involved in of

development skill and human capability through education they are 2.

million users are on their various learning platform. The proportion of

spending on local suppliers is nearly 71% in the year.
