POLYNOMIALS CAN BE:

Monomials: one term

Binomials: two terms

Trinomials: three term

Polynomials: more than 4 terms

DEGREES

When we are looking at degrees, we are looking at the exponents of our terms. Degree of monomial: the sum of the exponents of the variables Ex. 1 x 4 y 3 z Degree of a polynomial: the degree of the term with the greatest degree.

CLASSIFY THE FOLLOWING:
