You get to drop the lowest score of the 3 exams. (You MUST take the FINAL!) Also, note that since you get to "drop" one of your exams, makeups are not normally given. The two highest exam grades are then worth 50% of your grade, and the final is worth 30%. You will also receive a grade based on your performance in the discussion/lab sections, worth 20% of your total grade. You will have then earned some number of points out of a total of 100. Your final letter grade will be determined on the basis of that total. While the final grades will be "curved," if you score 90-100 you can be sure of receiving an A. Likewise, if you score 80-89 you will receive no lower than B, 70-79 no lower than C, 60-69 no lower than D.
TAKING EXAMS: You must bring a picture ID and a pencil for the exam. No one will be admitted (i.e. allowed to start the exam) after the first person has completed the exam and left the classroom.
