Airport Police - ANSWER The Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) is the first responder at the airports and should be your first contact for all on-airport police, fire, and emergency situations. Airport Security Manager - ANSWER The Airport's primary contact for security-related activities, communications, training, and compliance with TSA regulations. Public Area - ANSWER Areas normally accessible to the general public, including the areas before the TSA Passenger Screening Checkpoint within the terminal, other cargo and hangar buildings, parking lots and roadways. Sterile Area - ANSWER An area of the airport which provides access for boarding onto and off aircraft (also referred to as the gate area). Secured Area - ANSWER Secured Areas are locations where aircraft operations occur and includes baggage sorting and loading areas.
