But according to the Austin’s theory “A rule laid down for the guidance of an intelligent being by an intelligent being having power him”. For a proper understanding of a law, a classification of law is not only desirable but also necessary. It clears the relation between different rules and their effect on each other. Mainly the classification of law means the varieties of law which governs the country. Mainly laws are divided in two parts National/ state law and International law. When we come to the National law it further divided into 2 parts i.e. Public law and private law and same in international law. Like this the hierarchy moves and defines various types of laws.
Classification of laws have been made from time to time. While classifying laws there is not a guarantee that law will be permanent. Law keeps on changing according to the needs of the people at different time and at different places. This project will give an idea about how the laws are classified differently at different point of time.
